[Summer] Website Portfolio Class

Class A: May 23, Sat - July 25, Sat (10 weeks) 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Class B: May 24, Sun - July 26, Sun (10 weeks) 2 p.m. - 5 p.m.

The summer portfolio course is the perfect choice for students who want to build their own portfolio for college application and participate in the Congressional App Challenge. Students will discover how websites are developed and learn the fundamental knowledge and techniques of modern web development. We will begin with the basics, HTML, CSS, and work towards bringing our ideas to create a compelling portfolio. Learn how to build websites at an accelerated pace this summer!

Weekly Curriculum


Portfolio (Week 1 - Week 5)

Web Basics & jQuery
Learn about HTML/CSS and create simple websites using Flex and add scripts to our websites to provide functionality.

Portfolio (Week 6 - Week 10)

Advanced Web
Learn about React and start working on a portfolio. Dedicated time to practice and consolidate all of the portfolio topics.

The online class has accelerated pace and will take approximately 10 weeks to complete depending on the student's age, dedication, and passion for the class. We make sure that each student understands and digests what they learn from a class by iterating and challenging them with a quiz, project, and many more. 


We will make sure every student completes their own portfolio so that they can participate in the Congressional App Challenge. 

Class Schedule: We offer 2 web portfolio classes this summer. 

  • Class A: May 23, Sat, 2020 - July 25, Sat 2020 (1 p.m. - 4 p.m.)

  • Class B: May 24, Sun, 2020 - July 26, Sun 2020 (2 p.m. - 5 p.m.)

Class Format: 3-hour online live class + 30 minutes of private online support hour per week.

Tuition: $100 per each class (Normally $120). This price includes 30 minutes of private online support hours per week. During this online support hour, students can address any questions or ask instructors for extra support privately. The tuition payment is monthly-based.


Recommended Grade: Grade 8 - Grade 12

Learning Outcome: Students will have learned how to build websites and created their own websites. Students should be able to get ready to participate in the Congressional App Challenge.

Pre-requisite: Java or Python or basic knowledge of computer science.
